Your ceiling. Your drop.
Standard chain: 150 cm / 59.1″. A longer chain can be made to suit your ceiling height.
Length concept only. Suspension is set during installation.
A slope above. A straight drop.
The ceiling stays fixed while the chandelier moves along its slope, with the chain and lamp body remaining vertical.
Positioning illustration only; the installed fixture does not slide. Confirm your slope and mounting hardware.

04 / Product details
Structure, texture, silhouette.

Electroplated iron frame
A thickened iron frame supports the cascade. Gold or chrome electroplating highlights the curved arms.

Hand-strung shell discs
White shell discs are linked by hand, creating layered strands with delicate pearlescent texture.

A flowing, tiered silhouette
A compact upper tier opens into a fuller cascade, then tapers toward the base for an elegant vertical profile.

The beauty of transmitted light
Light passes through.
The texture comes alive.
Thin shell discs transmit part of the bulb’s light, revealing their pearlescent texture. Overlapping layers scatter the light and create a softly luminous shade.
Translucent shell
Light passes through the thin discs.
Layered diffusion
Overlapping strands soften the visible light.
A glow shaped by your bulbs
The shell does not produce light itself. Its appearance changes with bulb brightness and color temperature.
Entirely hand-strung
Linked by hand.
Distinct by nature.
Each white shell disc is linked by hand with small metal rings, building the cascade one piece at a time. Subtle differences in tone, translucency and surface texture give every strand its own character.
Look closer: the beauty is in the shell itself, and in the careful connections that bring each piece together.
-
Individual texture
Pearlescent surfaces and delicate markings create subtle variation between shell discs.
-
Hand-linked rings
Each metal ring connects one disc to the next, forming the hanging strands by hand.
-
A layered cascade
The finished strands come together on the frame to create Marielle’s flowing silhouette.

Linked by hand.
A closer look at shell sorting, rinsing, cutting and hand-linking—the work behind Marielle’s cascading shade.
Sorting the shell
White shell discs are sorted by size and appearance, revealing their pearlescent texture.
Rinsing & preparation
Shell pieces are rinsed and gathered in mesh-lined buckets for the next stage of preparation.
Precision cutting
Cutting equipment shapes thin shell pieces into round discs for the layered shade.
Linking by hand
Small metal rings connect the discs into flowing strands, ready for assembly on the frame.

| Feature | Shell | Glass | Acrylic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surface character | Pearlescent texture and subtle variation between discs | Clear, frosted or textured, depending on the finish | Often a consistent color and smooth surface |
| Light effect | Layered discs soften and break up the visible light | Can transmit, diffuse or refract light depending on the design | Can provide even diffusion when made with a frosted finish |
| Visual mood | An organic, layered look with a gentle shimmer | From understated clarity to decorative sparkle | A clean, contemporary appearance |
| Weight | Thin shell discs have an airy appearance; total fixture weight also depends on the frame | Shade weight depends on glass thickness and size | Often lighter than a similarly sized glass shade |
| Care | Dust gently; avoid impact, soaking and abrasive cleaners | Cleaning method depends on the coating and construction | Use a soft cloth; abrasive cleaners can scratch the surface |
Comparisons describe typical material characteristics. Light output, weight and durability also depend on the complete fixture design and the bulbs used.
08 / Questions & answers
A few things worth knowing.
Choose a question to see the answer.
Which size should I choose?
Choose Dia 47 × H 78 cm or Dia 62 × H 92 cm. These heights describe the lamp body; allow additional room for the suspension chain and mounting hardware when planning the installed drop.
Which bulbs are compatible?
The fixture uses E26 or E27 lamp holders, depending on the ordered configuration, with AC 110–240 V supply. Choose bulbs with the correct base and local voltage rating; confirm bulb quantity, maximum wattage and dimming compatibility before ordering.
Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?
Yes. The chain-hung design supports sloped-ceiling installation. Send the ceiling angle and mounting-area photo so we can confirm the suitable canopy and connection arrangement. Use a qualified electrician for installation.
Can I request a longer chain?
Yes. The standard chain measures 150 cm / 59.1″. Send your ceiling height and desired bottom-of-fixture height so we can confirm the required chain length and corresponding wiring.
Can I customize the frame color?
Yes. Gold and chrome are the standard finishes, and custom frame colors are available on request. Share a color reference so we can confirm finish availability, pricing and timing.
Is it suitable for humid or outdoor locations?
No. This IP20 chandelier is intended for dry indoor spaces. It is not waterproof and should be kept away from water spray, persistent moisture and outdoor exposure.
How do I clean the shell discs?
Switch off the power and let the bulbs cool. Support the strands and gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Avoid pulling the links, soaking the shell or using abrasive cleaners.
How long does preparation take?
Average preparation time is 5–10 days before dispatch; shipping time is additional. Confirm the schedule for custom finishes or longer chains before ordering.
