Shipping policy

Thank you for choosing Severnlighting's high-quality lighting products! To ensure you have a smooth and reliable shopping experience, below are the details of our shipping policy, highlighting key rules related to shipping, timeframes, and fee standards:

Core Timeframe Rule

Total Delivery Time = Order Processing Time + Shipping Time  (Business Days)

Business Days Definition: Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and U.S. public holidays.

Shipping Destinations & Dispatch Location

1. Supported Shipping Destinations

We only deliver to addresses within the United States, including:

  • Continental U.S. (48 contiguous states), Alaska, and Hawaii;
  • Excludes P.O. Boxes, APO (Army Post Office), and FPO (Fleet Post Office) addresses.

If you are located outside the U.S. but still wish to make a purchase, please contact our customer service (kay@severnlighting.com) to inquire about potential cooperation options.

2. Dispatch Location

All orders are shipped from our logistics center located at: Unit 8, 2nd Floor, No. 10 Xingdong Road, Gusi Lane, Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China. We will promptly send you logistics tracking information via email once the package is shipped.

Order Processing Time

  • Regular Products: Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days after submission (including inventory verification, packaging, and shipment inspection), excluding weekends and public holidays;
  • Customized Products: Personalized custom lighting products require additional production time, extending the processing period by 5–12 business days. The total delivery time will be delayed accordingly;
  • Special Circumstances: During holidays or promotional events, order volume may increase significantly, and processing time may be slightly extended by 1–3 business days. We will keep you updated on your order status (e.g., "Confirmed," "Shipped") via email in real-time.

Shipping Methods & Timeframes

We cooperate with reputable logistics providers such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS EMS, offering two shipping options. All timeframes are calculated in business days:

Carriers & Shipping Methods

We partner with trusted carriers including UPS, FedEx, and USPS EMS, all of which provide insurance and tracking services. All shipping times refer to business days (Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and holidays). Delivery dates depend on each carrier’s daily cutoff time and our warehouse processing speed.

Duties, Taxes & Customs Clearance

(All prices displayed on the website are tax-exclusive. When the package arrives in the destination country/region, duties, import taxes, and other customs-related fees may apply.)

  • Responsibility: These fees are determined by local customs authorities and are the sole responsibility of the recipient. We cannot predict or collect these fees on your behalf.
  • Recommendation: To avoid unnecessary fees and delays, we strongly advise you to contact your local customs office before placing an order to understand relevant policies and fee details. We are not liable for any such additional charges.

Order Tracking & Issue Resolution

  • Order Tracking: Once your order is shipped, we will send tracking information to you via email. If your tracking information has not been updated for 2–3 weeks, please contact us via email (kay@severnlighting.com) and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
  • Delays & Loss: Incorrect delivery information, customs clearance issues, or holiday peaks may cause delays. If your package is significantly delayed or lost, please contact our customer service team immediately, and we will be dedicated to assisting you.
  • Address Errors or Changes: Please ensure your delivery address is accurate when placing an order. We are not responsible for lost or misdelivered packages due to incorrect addresses provided. Once a package is shipped, we cannot guarantee successful address changes, and carriers may charge additional fees for address modifications. If you need to change your address, we will send you an invoice for these fees.
  • Refused, Lost, or Stolen Packages: If your package shows "Delivered" but you cannot locate it, please first check your surrounding area or contact neighbors. If it is still not found after 7 days, please contact us immediately.

Other Notes

  • Out-of-Stock Items: We strive to maintain inventory for all listed products, but occasional stockouts may occur. If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will notify you via email (kay@severnlighting.com) as soon as possible. You may choose to proceed with the order (wait for restock) or cancel it. Charges will only be applied to your credit card once the item is shipped.

Countries/Regions We Ship To

Currently, we primarily serve the U.S. market. If you are not located in the U.S. but wish to purchase lighting fixtures, please contact kay@severnlighting.com, and we will explore possible options with you.

*Please note that these are only estimated delivery times, and therefore delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. Ensure all delivery information is accurate and complete. Incorrect or missing information may require us to contact you for updates, which could delay your order. Customs clearance may also cause delays. Your local customs office may require additional documentation and time to clear your package, which could extend the estimated delivery time. Your order may be delivered by your local post office or a courier service. Depending on your location, most orders will be delivered by the local postal service, so the package will arrive with your regular mail. If you are not home, the postal service may leave a collection notice informing you how and where to pick up your package.
