The Orvelane Amber Swirl Glass Tiered Chandelier hangs rows of hand-formed clear glass panels streaked with amber in five stepped tiers around an iron frame.
The frame and chain come in gold or nickel. Bulbs are not included.

At 35.4 inches across, Orvelane suits dining tables of 54 to 72 inches and living rooms near 16 by 19 feet. Hang it so the lowest panels sit 30 to 36 inches above the table, and shorten the 39.4-inch chain to fit your ceiling.
Look closely at any panel and you will find a ribbon of amber suspended in thick, textured clear glass. Because each panel is hand-formed, the ribbon loops and pools a little differently every time.
Switched off, the panels read clear with streaks of gold. Switched on, the light passes through the clear edges and catches the amber, and the five tiers glow one behind another.
No two ribbons run quite alike.
Three parts that make Orvelane, seen from close by.
In daylight the clear, textured glass shows its ribbons of amber like honey held in ice.
Look up and the iron frame opens into a ring with radiating arms that carries the panels and lights.
A round canopy covers the ceiling box, and the chain drops straight from it, even on a slope.
Rows of panels step inward from 35.4 inches across the top tier.
E12/E14 candelabra bulbs, not included; 3000K warm white suits the glass.
Shorten it during installation to set the height over your table.
The same dining room, the same five tiers, seen twice.
Daylight passes through the clear edges and picks out the streak of amber in each panel.
Nineteen lights glow through five tiers, and the amber deepens into honey and gold.

Each panel is hand-formed, so the amber ribbons vary slightly from piece to piece.
Only the frame, chain and canopy. The amber swirl glass is the same on both.
Nineteen E12/E14 candelabra bulbs, not included. A 3000K warm white suits it best.

Every glass piece on this fixture is shaped by hand from molten glass: gathered, blown, colored and cooled one at a time, so the light it carries has real depth.
Nothing here is stamped out by a machine. A single glass piece can take hours from the first gather to the final inspection.

Raw glass is melted at around 2,000°F, then a glowing gather is lifted from the furnace on the end of a steel blowpipe.

The artisan turns, blows and reheats the glass, forming it with paddles and hand tools while it is still soft.

Color is worked into the glass itself. That is where the swirls, ribbing and texture you see in the finished piece come from.

Each piece cools slowly in an annealing oven to relieve stress, then is checked by hand before it is fitted to the fixture.

Light bends through thick, uneven glass, so it glows softly in layers instead of shining flat, and it is easy on the eyes.
Because every piece is shaped by hand, no two are exactly alike. The fixture you receive is its own.
Color is fused into the glass, so it will not fade, yellow or peel the way coatings and plastics can.
In daylight the glass still catches the light in the room, so the fixture reads as sculpture, not just hardware.
In a small product photo the three can look alike. Here is how they score where it counts once the fixture is in your home.

Solid and substantial, cool to the touch
A piece of glass art rather than a stand-in
From clear and smoke to amber, blush and olive, our glass is made in a broad range of tones, and many fixtures can be made in a color not listed on the page.

Hand-formed glass carries small marks of how it was made. They are part of what makes the piece worth owning.
Small air bubbles trapped as the glass is worked are a classic sign of hand-blown glass.
Color may run a little deeper or lighter from piece to piece, much like the grain in natural wood.
Soft ripples and slightly uneven edges catch the light and give the glass a sense of movement.
Product photos show a representative piece. Your glass will differ slightly, and that is what makes it yours.
