Orlisse Alabaster Globe Wall Sconce
A quiet evening. A softer glow. Natural alabaster globes bring warmth and sculptural character to your wall.
A brass frame, 3000K warm white light, and two or three heads. Choose gold, black or nickel for bedrooms, entryways and living rooms.

Bring balance to both sides of the bed. A set of two fixtures offers better value than purchasing each fixture separately.
“Set of 2” means two complete wall fixtures. Select the same head count and finish for a coordinated pair.
Preparation time is separate from shipping time. IP20 provides no water protection. Bulb inclusion, maximum wattage and dimming compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.
Center the 38 cm fixture over the bed. Start with a 20–30 cm (7.9–11.8″) clear gap between the headboard top and the lowest point of the shades. This compact composition works best as decorative ambient light; confirm its spread before relying on it for two readers.
Place one 38 cm fixture on each side, centered above its nightstand. A starting centerline is 15–25 cm (5.9–9.8″) outside each mattress edge; aim for the shade centers roughly 50–65 cm (19.7–25.6″) above the mattress top, then adjust for seated eye level and reach.
Center the 61 cm fixture above the headboard for a broader horizontal accent. Start with the same 20–30 cm (7.9–11.8″) clear gap above the headboard. Leave room for the full 20 cm (7.9″) projection, and check that the globes clear your head when sitting or standing.
Allow a wider wall zone for each 61 cm fixture. Start with fixture centerlines 15–25 cm (5.9–9.8″) beyond the mattress edges and shade centers about 50–65 cm (19.7–25.6″) above the mattress. At this spacing, the fixture ends may extend over the bed edge; move outward if needed for headboard and body clearance.
Planning suggestions, not code requirements or a mounting template. Bed widths are illustrative. Use the actual fixture and bracket to mark drill points. Mock up both the width and 20 cm projection, sit upright on the bed, check glare and head clearance, and have a qualified installer confirm wall support, wiring and local requirements. Above-headboard positions may need to be higher to clear a seated person.
White stone, subtle mineral markings and a rounded silhouette create depth in daylight and a softly illuminated surface when lit. Veining and translucency vary from shade to shade.
The slender brass bar and rounded backplate balance the globes without competing with their pattern. Gold, black and nickel describe finish colors; the frame material is brass.
Confirm dimensions, wall support, supply voltage and the correct G9 lamp specification. Isolate power before any work; a qualified installer should verify mounting hardware and complete electrical connections.
Alabaster is naturally translucent. When the G9 light source is switched on, some light passes through the stone shell and is scattered, giving the globe a softly luminous appearance.
The stone does not generate light itself. Its thickness, natural markings and the lamp output influence how bright and even the shade looks. The specified 3000K warm white light brings a warm character to the white globes.
Choose stone for its natural character and suitability for a translucent shade. Mineral markings become part of the design.
Cut the selected material into workable blanks sized for the globe form.
Shape the rounded exterior and form the internal cavity for the light source and fitting.
Refine and smooth the surface to reveal the stone’s color and natural veining.
Fit the shades to the brass structure and assemble the fixture for its final form.
Cloudy white areas, fine veins and warmer mineral tones are part of natural alabaster. Their placement and visibility differ between shades, and may look different with the light on or off.
Product photography illustrates the material’s character; it does not guarantee an identical pattern. If you prefer lighter veining, stronger contrast or a coordinated pair, contact us about customization before ordering. Selection depends on available stone, and an exact pattern match cannot be guaranteed.

| Quality | Natural alabaster | Glass | Acrylic | Fabric |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visual character | Natural mineral veining; every shade differs | Clear, frosted, colored or textured finishes | Often consistent color and finish | Woven texture and a soft decorative appearance |
| Light appearance | Translucent stone with visible depth and tonal variation | Ranges from clear transmission to frosted diffusion | Can provide even diffusion, depending on formulation | Filtered light through the weave; output depends on lining |
| When switched off | A sculptural stone feature with an individual pattern | Reflective, transparent or opaque depending on finish | Lightweight visual forms with repeatable finishes | A tactile textile accent |
| Practical trade-off | Heavier and sensitive to moisture, impact and harsh cleaners | Breakable; dust and fingerprints may show | Lighter; can scratch and has heat limits | Can collect dust and absorb stains |
| Best reason to choose | Natural individuality and a softly luminous stone surface | A broad choice of optical effects | Low weight and flexible forms | A textile-led decorative scheme |
General material comparison. Light output, heat tolerance and service life depend on the specific shade, lamp and fixture design. Alabaster’s appeal is its natural character rather than a claim of universal superiority.
The shades are natural alabaster and the frame is brass. Gold, black and nickel are the available frame finish colors. The white alabaster may include warmer mineral markings and irregular veins; these natural differences contribute to the individual appearance of each fixture.
The two-head version measures L 38 × W 20 × H 23.5 cm (15 × 7.9 × 9.3″). The three-head version measures L 61 × W 20 × H 23.5 cm (24 × 7.9 × 9.3″). Choose by available wall width, bedside table size and the composition you want. More heads do not establish a specific lumen output; confirm lamp output for task lighting.
Orlisse uses a G9 light source, with a specified warm white color temperature of 3000K. Confirm bulb inclusion, maximum permitted wattage and lamp dimensions before purchase. Replacement lamps must match the fixture rating, local voltage and available shade clearance; the G9 base alone does not establish compatibility.
Dimming has not been specified for this configuration. It depends on compatible dimmable G9 lamps and a suitable dimmer, as well as the supplied fixture components. Contact us before ordering if dimming is essential, so the intended lamps and control system can be checked together.
This fixture is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations and has no water protection. Do not place it where it may be splashed, exposed to steam or used outdoors. Any proposed bathroom location requires a qualified installer to assess local electrical zones and requirements; IP20 must not be treated as a wet-location rating.
Use the four diagrams as starting points, then check the actual bed, nightstands, headboard and seated eye level. The 20 cm projection is especially important for head clearance. A pair should normally align with the bedside furniture, while a single central fixture should clear both the headboard and the person sitting beneath it. Final mounting height is site-specific.
Natural alabaster varies in veining, tone and translucency. Two shades can complement each other without matching exactly. If you need a particular pattern direction or a more coordinated pair, request customization before ordering. Feasibility depends on the available material; exact duplication of a photographed vein pattern is not guaranteed.
Switch off power and let the fixture cool. Dust gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth, and support the stone without twisting the fittings. Avoid soaking, steam, abrasive pads, acids and harsh cleaners. Alabaster is a sensitive stone, so ask us before attempting to remove a stain or using any liquid product.
Ask a qualified installer to verify wall strength, the fixing method, electrical connections and local requirements. The specified fixture voltage is AC 110–240V, but the selected G9 lamp must also suit the local supply. Isolate the circuit before work, and use the supplied fixture and installation instructions to mark the final mounting points.
Average preparation time is 5–10 days before dispatch; transit time is additional. A Set of 2 means two complete wall fixtures and offers better value than buying the fixtures individually. Choose the same head count and finish for a coordinated pair. Ask for a separate estimate if you request particular stone patterns or other customization.
