The tube is open along its underside, so light drops in a controlled band rather than spilling across the wall.

Finding Your Fit

At L 18.1″ × H 7.9″ with a 9.4″ projection, Redmond suits a mirror or picture roughly 24–36″ wide — around half to two thirds of what hangs below reads as the right proportion. Mount the backplate so the tube sits about 4–8″ above the top of the frame, and remember the fixture stands nearly 10″ off the wall, so keep it clear of a door swing or a tall wardrobe edge.
